Nestled between the Moors & Dales Parks
Arbour Hill is set on the outskirts of a pretty village in Wensleydale, between the market towns of Bedale and Leyburn, the village itself is very pretty; old stone cottages very typical of the Yorkshire Dales, a babbling beck with wild trout, and lovely country pubs close by.
We're perfectly situated for a Dales Short Break and are also ideally placed to visit York, Harrogate, Leeds and the Yorkshire coast.
Visiting
There are lots of other pretty villages and stunning natural sights all within close range of Arbour Hill. Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are just a few miles away and the gorgeous villages of West Burton and Askrigg are within easy driving distance, or even a trip farther afield to York, Whitby or maybe Harrogate.
Doing
If walking is your thing, the Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker’s paradise with many beautiful walks from your doorstep. And there are plenty of options for cycling too in Tour De France country, as well as many other varied activities, Llama trekking, Clay shooting or even a trip to the strangest place on Earth!.
Eating
And when you need to refuel, stop at one of the areas many excellent eateries. Our favourites include the Blue Lion at East Witton and of course the Friars Head just along the road. Or you could venture a little further afield and try some of the many top restaurants and gastro pubs across the Dales.
Beautifully rural, with access to all that Yorkshire has to offer, relax, refresh or revel in the bright lights of Yorkshire's Towns & Cities.
